Poas Volcano National Park
(One Day)
The tour will take you along the Pan-American highway heading toward the town of Alajuela, passing by the Agriculture Monument, Juan Santamaria statue, and the famous Mangos' Park. We stop at the coffee fields for a brief explanation, then we will pass through fern farms, strawberry plantations and flower farms.
On the top of the volcano, we will observe the principal crater with its sulphur fumaroles. Afterward, we will walk to the beautiful Botos lagoon where you can see the diverse flora and fauna of the cloud forest.
Recommendations: Light jacket, hiking shoes, binoculars and camera.
