BRAULIO CARRILLO NATIONAL PARK - ONE DAY TOUR
From San José, we will take a thirty minute drive towards the Caribbean Coast to the Braulio Carrillo National Park.
This park is an impressive 100,000 + acres of complex evergreen forest that is mostly primary growth.
The vegetation and fauna here are so varied that you can expect to see animals and plants native to the rain forest, as well as native cloud forest dwellers.
The first stop is the park ranger's station, where you can decide whether to take a one or two hour hike through the jungle.
After the hike, you will enjoy a delicious lunch of a variety of local and international cuisine.
After lunch, you may hike through other trails to search for more of the abundant wildlife.
Later, we head back to San José and arrive in time for you to rest and prepare for an enjoyable evening in the city.

The Rain Forest Aerial Tram will take you on a fascinating tour through tall tropical tree-tops that offers you the chance to see wildlife found only within the canopy system.
Home to two-thirds of all rain forest species, this hanging garden of plants and animals is a magical world of rare beauty and amazing biological diversity.
After a short hike through the lush wilderness, you will enjoy a 1¼ hour ride in the tram, and then enjoy a delicious local lunch and still have time to relax and browse in the souvenir shop at the tram base.
