- Carara Biological Reserve: Visit this impressive transition forest from humid to dry land with a large variety of plants, amphibians, reptiles and birds, like the famous Red Limpet. Crocodiles more than ten feet long will be (safely) observed along the Tárcoles River .
- Manuel Antonio National park : The natural paths of the park will take you to the interior of the forest enjoying a varied flora and fauna, including white face monkeys, raccoons and other species of rodents and birds. You will also have time to enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean .
- Add the following excursions in Manuel Antonio: Half-day cavalcade in the Rain Forest: Enjoy a horse ride in a scenic rural area of Quepos, with traditional farms and cattle properties. Don't forget your bathing suit to swim in the beautiful waterfall along the trail. For the bird watchers, we recommend taking the cavalcade during the afternoon.
- Nauyaca Waterfalls: Aftert two hours ride to Quepos, you
will arrive to a trail where a traditional breakfast awaits you. After breakfast a walk of 45 minutes will take you to the waterfall where you will be able to enjoy the clear waters and take some scenic pictures.
- In search of dolphins: Travel in boat and marvel at the mysterious islands that are part of the Manuel Antonio National Park. You will find numerous species of marine birds and local pigeons. If luck favors you, you will see a variety of dolphins and whales that live near the islands, while learning about this protected area and of the native Quepoas Indians.
